Crew Car Wash Associate

 

         Position Requirements:

Qualified candidates for an Associate position will meet the following criteria. As an Associate, you must:

             -Be 16 years or older

             -Be completely drug-free

             -Able to safely lift 50 lbs

             -Communicate in English, with all customers

             -Make the correct change for customers, without the use of a cash register or calculator

             -Have reliable transportation to work each day

             -Move quickly for periods.

             -Be on your feet, without sitting, 80% of your shift

             -Be able to bend, kneel, and stretch to reach regularly throughout your shift.

             -Be able to withstand extended exposure to all weather extremes.

             -Be willing to get your hands dirty, conducting clean-up and other necessary tasks.

 

Position Expectations

           -Please note: As an Associate at Crew, you will typically fill all the following positions during the course of a shift, and oftentimes may fill more than one of these roles at any given time.

1.) Customer Satisfaction- All Associate’s number one responsibility is ensuring that every customer leaves satisfied and “WOWED!” by their experience at Crew. We accomplish this in several ways:

             -Greeting each customer with a smile.

             -Working quickly and efficiently to show the customer we value their time

             -Going out of our way for customers

             -Communicating with every customer in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner

             -Checking in with self-serve vacuum customers, and ensuring their satisfaction

             -Helping customers who are not satisfied with their car wash and rectifying the situation.

2.) Service Advisor- One of the positions is service advisor. The service is the person that greets the customers as they enter our property. As Service Advisor you will:

             -Acknowledge each customer as they arrive.

             -Direct to appropriate lane, as needed

             -Identify vehicle safety issues

             -Coach customers who need assistance with the MPT

             -Help customers with the purchase of loyalty programs

             -Help disappointed customers

             -Conduct follow-ups with disappointed customers

3.) The Director- The Director is the team member who guides the customer’s vehicle onto the conveyor. As a Director, you will:

             -Guide our customers safely onto the conveyor

             -Spray down any hard-to-clean areas with the high-pressure hose

             -Instruct the customer on when to place their car in neutral and send them off into the wash tunnel with a smile and friendly demeanor.

             -Identify any “special attention” items that need to be addressed, to ensure the safety of the customer’s vehicle. 

             -Ensure that the customer enters the tunnel and proceeds on our conveyor in a safe fashion.

4.) The Team Leader – The Crew Leader is the team member that will “bounce” between the service advisor and director position, ensuring customer satisfaction in the vacuum area. The crew leader will typically be the highest-ranked team member in production. As a crew leader you will:

             -Have on a backup apron and PTT

             -Assist the current service advisor and break as needed

             -Assist the director by being their second director for high volume times or offering a break as needed

             -Ensure customer satisfaction at the exit and the vacuum area by asking customers about their wash quality and offering a rewash, if necessary

             -Inform customers in the vacuum area of our loyalty programs and be ready and able to sell immediately.

5.) Miscellaneous Responsibilities – In addition to the above responsibilities, Associates will also:

             -Participate in general clean-up around the location (cleaning windows, mopping, emptying trash, etc.)

             -Change the message on the high-rise marquis

             -Cut the grass, pull weeds, and other landscaping duties

             -All associates are expected to pick up debris or clean up anything left by customers

             -Assist with unloading deliveries

             -Education Assistance – If you meet the average hours worked, during the college semester and maintained a “C” average, you can earn up to $3,500/year in assistance.

             -Wash Services – Each team member earns one car wash each week – this wash may not be sold for cash.
